Encouraging an excitement for learning through live animal interactions.
Children are fascinated by animals and display a deep passion for animal welfare and well-being at an early age. The Vets in Training Program embraces the human-animal bond through interaction and education.
By providing hands-on experienced-based education to each student in the program, the children are empowered to explore their own potential to learn and grow.
Our Approach
Through these unique, interactive, educational experiences, the Vets In Training Program encourages compassion, kindness, empowerment and responsibility.
Vets in Training Core Values are Compassion – fostering the innate ability of a child to develop empathy and selflessness. Engagement – Learning the power of positive interaction with each other, animals, and the environment. Empowerment – through discovery, we are enhancing the leadership that children are born demonstrating.
Homeschool Classes
Join us for homeschool classes at Vets in Training!
We have one hour classes on Tuesdays at 10:30 and Wednesdays at 12:00. This is a great introductory class into what Vets in Training is all about.
The homeschool half day program is offered on Thursday or Friday from 10:00-2:00. This is a great way for kids to learn STEAM based education, socialize, and spend lots of time with animals in a kind and supportive environment. Homeschool Half Day students also learn responsibility as they spend their mornings cleaning up after animals and feeding them.
These programs are offered to kids 6 to 12 years old. Every session we study different topics in order to keep our students learning and having fun with animals year after year.
Upper Level Homeschool
We also have a great Upper Level Homeschool program for kids age 12 and up as well!
The surgery observation class at 10:30 on Tuesdays allows kids to learn straight from the veterinarians at House Paws hospital in Mt Laurel, observing surgery and asking all the questions they can think of.
At 12:00 on Tuesdays our interns and residents students will study in depth veterinary and animal science and practice veterinary skills. Combining the two classes helps students both observe and practice real life skills.
